MOB Music Festival To “Celebrate All Genres”

MOB Music Festival, dedicated to showcasing new music artists and activities, is taking place on July 12-14 in Downtown Mobile. Musical artists from various genres (including independent, country, bluegrass, rock, alternative, gospel, soul, funk, jazz, brass band, blues, R&B and hip-hop) are expected to perform to an audience of up to 5,000. The event is organized by Opportunity 4 Entertainers & Performing Arts, a nonprofit organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. The organization’s goal is to open doors for anyone, regardless of race, gender, ethnicity or age, who is interested in music and the performing arts. Funds, as those from last year’s event did, will go toward opening a location by 2025 to house various classes on dance, music, spoken word, performance art, recitation, public speaking and art classes.
