Watermelon Festival Returning To Grand Bay

The 52nd Grand Bay Watermelon Festival is taking place on July 3 from 3-7 p.m. and July 4 from 9 a.m. until nightfall at 10327 Taylor F. Harper Boulevard in Grand Bay. Gate entrance and parking on July 3 are free. There will be music, rides, food vendors and arts and crafts vendors but no watermelon on the first day. On July 4, admission is $5 per vehicle, and there will be an open car show, rides, games, vendors, entertainment and all-you-can-eat sliced, cold watermelon. There will be fireworks at dusk, and food vendors will be open until 7 p.m.
