$200 Million More Earmarked for State Small Businesses

Alabama small businesses, nonprofits and faith-based organizations that have been impacted by COVID-19 are eligible for $200 million in grant funds, Business Alabama was among outlets to report. The new Revive Plus program may be applied for through the Coronavirus Relief Fund website November 23 through December 4. It will provide individual grants of up to $20,000 for organizations with 50 or fewer employees to cover expenses caused by operational interruptions caused by the pandemic. Governor Kay Ivey called it “a second round of assistance” since the initial Revive Alabama program reached its $100 million cap. It also follows $1 billion of Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act monies the state has allocated thus far.
