Allegiant Starts, Adds Gulf Shores Flights

The Gulf Shores International Airport recently had its inaugural flight with Allegiant Airlines and officially unveiled its new terminal. Additionally, Allegiant announced two new routes from Gulf Shores: nonstop service to Appleton, Wisconsin, and Des Moines, Iowa, starting in October. “The fact that these are in the heart of our winter markets adds greatly to our goals of becoming more of a year-round destination,” said Mayor Robert Craft. With the addition of these new nonstop routes, Gulf Shores International Airport offers the third-most routes in Alabama, surpassing both Mobile and Montgomery airports.
