Applications Being Accepted For Next Mobile Citizens Academy

The City of Mobile is now accepting applications for the fall cohort of “C251: Citizens Academy.” This six-week program aims to teach citizens more about how the city’s government functions. It is intended to provide residents with an in-depth look at Mobile’s government through tours, hands-on demonstrations and presentations by city leaders. Participants will get an insider’s view of the city and its departments, encourage citizens to become involved in the community and enhance Mobilians’ ability to communicate effectively with their government. The application period for the popular program will close on August 26, and space is limited. This cohort will learn about the city’s legal and community affairs, administrative services, neighborhood development, finance, public works and public safety departments.
