BFM Construction Website Launched

The Mobile Airport Authority has announced the launch of BuildBFM.com, a dedicated website designed to keep the public informed about the ongoing construction of the new terminal and parking garage at Mobile International Airport (BFM). The website includes construction updates, project milestones, frequently asked questions, and community engagement and job opportunities. Scheduled to open in 2025, the new terminal will feature five gates, with the capacity to expand to 12, and the parking garage will have 1,250 spaces. The project broke ground in December 2022 and is projected to be completed by late 2025 or early 2026. Most recently, the authority acquired 272 acres at Michigan Avenue and Interstate 10, including what is known as Thomas James Place and R.V. Taylor Plaza.
