Brookley By The Bay Plan Unveiled

The City of Mobile has completed the master plan that will guide the design and construction of the Brookley by the Bay waterfront park, Mayor Sandy Stimpson announced. The plan for the park, located on 98 acres along Mobile Bay’s western shore, just east of the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley, aims to weave in programmed areas that will support waterfront access, recreational activities, public events and gatherings, entertainment and educational resources. Feedback was received from more than 300 community members, partner agencies and stakeholder organizations, in “one of our most collaborative and community-driven projects,” Stimpson said. He continued, “With the master plan complete, we will use the community’s input to create design and construction plans over the next several months.”
