Downtown Mobile Grant Announced

The Downtown Mobile Alliance, a nonprofit that exists to support the redevelopment of Downtown Mobile through marketing, announced via the Innovation Portal that it has started the MOBilize Fund “to enliven and beautify some of the neglected areas downtown.” A $3,000 grant will go to an individual, nonprofit or business for a project, event or art installation “to come alive in Downtown Mobile.” Projects must align with the funding categories of placemaking or urban design; public visual art or performance art (must have site permission); and activation through events, signage, workshops, etc. The deadline to apply is December 31.
