Fire Prevention Week Event In Spanish Fort

SPANISH FORT, Ala. — Spanish Fort Fire Rescue (SFFR) is teaming up with the National Fire Protection Association to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Fire Prevention Week (FPW) on October 9-15. This year’s FPW campaign, “Fire won’t wait. Plan your escape,” works to educate on simple but important safety actions. SFFR is holding an open house in support of FPW on October 15 at Station 1 at 7580 Spanish Fort Boulevard in Spanish Fort at 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Events include games, rock climbing, a smoke house, a fire safety house, food, live car fires, hydraulic rescue tool extrication and appearances from Sparky and Smokey Bear.
