Foley Job Search Readiness Classes Announced

 The City of Foley is hosting job search readiness classes for residents. They will be taught by Library Technical Assistant Melinda Murphy, who has more than 30 years of experience helping jobseekers. Three classes will be taken at the Foley Public Library Computer Lab, all between 10 and 11 a.m. This first is “Resumes” on January 6, 2026, at 10-11 a.m. Attendees who have never written a resume or who would like help updating one can get help from this class. “Job Search” will be held on January 13. This class will help students learn how to begin their job search, which employment resources are available and how to navigate online applications and upload resumes. “Interviews” will be held on January 20. Attendees will learn how to interview well, including how to dress, how to use good nonverbal communication and how to answer difficult questions. The classes are open to those aged 16 and older. Participants may sign up for one or more. All are free, but registration is required.
