Foley Sets Meetings, Opens Survey For Strategic Plan

The City of Foley said it is developing a strategic plan to guide development and growth over the next five years. As part of the process, plan organizers are seeking public opinions about the challenges and opportunities facing the city. Three community forums, which will include descriptions of the planning process and comment periods to allow participants to express their opinions, will be held at the Graham Creek Nature Preserve Interpretive Center on February 7 at 6-7:30 p.m., at the Foley Senior Center on February 8 at 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. and at the Foley United Methodist Church at 6-7:30 p.m. The meetings will include interactive small- and large-group discussions, and focused questions about city priorities will be discussed. The city is also conducting a survey asking residents their thoughts on growth and development in Foley in the next five years.
