Funding Approved for Medal of Honor Park

Mobile City Councilwoman Bess Rich announced the council’s unanimous vote to approve $804,000 in funding for improvements at Medal of Honor Park in West Mobile. Improvements include upgrades and renovations for the concession stands and restrooms at the football field and softball/baseball fields, in addition to two prefabricated shelters near the splash pad and walkway/concrete improvements near the tennis trailer. Rich noted that the approval was delayed from fiscal year 2018-2019, when the design contract for the work was budgeted.
