Hire Vets Medallion Awards Announced

The Alabama Department of Labor has announced that 34 Alabama companies have received awards for the U.S. Department of Labor’s 2022 Hire Vets Medallion Program. They include Vulcan, Inc. of Foley and Community Security Services, LLC of Mobile. The awards are the only federal-level veterans’ employment award that recognizes a company or organization’s commitment to veteran hiring, retention and professional development. Nationally, 835 companies were recognized for a commitment to hiring veterans. The companies awarded were also praised for ensuring they have a long-term career and growth plan that uses the diverse skills they acquired through their military service.
