Linsley Named Mobile County Director Of Facilities, Maintenance

The Mobile County Commission recently promoted Eric Linsley to director of facilities and maintenance. He has served as interim director of facilities and maintenance for seven months. In his new role, Linsley’s responsibilities include leading Mobile County’s facilities and maintenance function and overseeing the departments of building maintenance, electronics, custodial, and facilities engineering and design. His duties include directing, monitoring and planning for the department’s financial, personnel and operational activities, as well as the maintenance of Mobile County’s 100-plus buildings. Linsley was also appointed by the Mobile County Commission to the Mobile County Communications District (911) Board. He will complete the term held by retired County Administrator Glenn L. Hodge ending on November 12, 2025. Linsley has worked for the Mobile County Commission for 30 years, serving in positions of increasing responsibility, including deputy director of facilities and maintenance, director of public safety communications, electronic systems supervisor and electronic systems analyst II.
