MAA Wins Safety Award

MOBILE, Ala. — The Mobile Airport Authority (MAA) has been awarded the Southern Division 2021 Air Carrier Safety Award by the Federal Aviation Administration, Business Alabama reported. The award was based on the Full-Scale Triennial Exercise conducted last fall. It simulated landing and rescue operations in Mobile Bay and included participants from Mobile, the U.S. Coast Guard and the Mobile County Emergency Management Agency. The event tests notifications, response times, rescue operations and other safety issues.
