Mills Community Votes To Join Foley

The City of Foley has announced that the Mills Community will become part of Foley after residents voted on August 22 to be annexed into the city. The 43 to 17 vote means the community in western Foley north of Highway 98 will become part of the city once the vote is certified by Baldwin County Probate Judge Harry D’Olive, Jr. Approximately 170 people live in the area on approximately 105 lots already in the Foley corporate limits. The Alabama Legislature approved a bill in May to allow residents in the of the community to vote on the issue.
