Mobile Apportioned More Than $1 Million For Carbon Reduction

The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act has apportioned $1,093,970 annually to the Mobile Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for a new program focusing on carbon reduction, according to the Mobile-based South Alabama Regional Planning Commission. This money can be used for a variety of projects, and the current fiscal year apportionment must be authorized this fiscal year. The funds apportioned to the Mobile MPO from the federal Carbon Reduction Program funds are an 80/20 match. Mobile MPO member governments with a project in mind are encouraged to apply for these funds.
