Mobile Citizens Academy Program Accepting Applications

The City of Mobile is now accepting applications for “C251: Citizens Academy.” This five-week program aims to teach citizens more about how the city’s government functions. It is intended to provide residents with an in-depth look at Mobile’s government through tours, hands-on demonstrations and presentations by city leaders. Participants will get an insider’s view of the city and its departments, encourage citizens to become involved in the community and enhance Mobilians’ ability to communicate effectively with their government. The application period for the popular program will close on March 7, and space is limited. The program lasts from March 12 to April 16, with graduation taking place on April 16. Those previously on a waiting list may contact Community Affairs Manager Lesley D. Walker at phone: 251-208-7801 or email.
