Mobile County Adds 3,400 Jobs In The Last Year
According to the Alabama Department of Workforce, Mobile County’s employment surged by 3,400 jobs over the last year, with job creation ranking third among Alabama counties. The unemployment rate for the county in June 2025 is 3.7%, which is trending downward from 2024. For the City of Mobile, there has been a similar decrease in unemployment and 2,000 jobs added over the past year. “Job creation has always been a collaborative effort between city, county and state officials, as well as our economic development partners at the Mobile Chamber and local industries…. These positive job trends are just the start,” Mayor Sandy Stimpson said.
