Mobile County EMA Director Announced

The Mobile County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) Authority Board Executive Committee has named Mike Evans as Mobile County’s new EMA director. Evans was promoted from the role of deputy director upon the retirement of Ronnie Adair, who served as EMA director since 2009. Evans has more than 20 years in emergency management and has served in the U.S. Army National Guard for almost 40 years. His goals for his new role include effective preparation, dedicated outreach, efficient emergency response, and building and maintaining the EMA team. Evans announced that a new deputy director of the agency will be named soon and that Sherry Crush has been promoted to director of plans and operations with the primary responsibility of preparing, equipping and manning the Mobile County Emergency Operations Center during disasters.
