Mobile County Transportation Safety Survey Opens

Mobile County has been awarded the opportunity to develop a Safety Action Plan (SAP) for all roadways within its jurisdiction. The intent of the plan is to create strategies and identify projects to reduce the number of serious injuries and fatalities occurring on these roads. To help shape and prioritize the safety strategies and projects identified in the plan, it has opened a transportation safety survey. The SAP will be created through the federal Safe Streets and Roads for All program, which will identify high-risk streets; improve crossings, sidewalks, bike lanes and lighting; and make Downtown Mobile safer.
