Mobile Fire Rescue Cuts Ribbon On Spring Hill Station

The Mobile Fire-Rescue Department officially unveiled its newest fire station at 700 Museum Drive. The $2.5-million station sits on nearly 100,000 ft2 in the heart of Spring Hill. It replaces the previous fire station, which was demolished in August 2019. The station is 6,053 ft2 with advanced equipment, including a decontamination room with particulate extractors and equipment for firefighters to be able to clean and decontaminate their turnout gear and uniforms after incidents that may expose them to toxic materials, a ventilation system designed to automatically extract airborne toxins, and the department’s first bifold designed to fully open in 3-4 s.
