Mobile Historic Preservation Tour Announced

The Downtown Mobile Alliance is celebrating National Historic Preservation Month, with its Happy Hour Hard Hat Historic Preservation Tour touring six historic buildings under renovation for the next 100 years of use at May 17 at 4-6:30 p.m. “The renovations reflect the versatility of these solid older buildings, many of which have been adapted for new uses more than once in their lifetimes,” the group said. Developers will be on hand to explain the transformation process, and the tour will end at BoHayden’s in Downtown Mobile with a reception with golfing and craft cocktails. The tour also begins at the sports bar, where on-street parking is available. Tickets are $40-$50.
