Mobile Launches Litter Resources

MOBILE, Ala. — Mayor Sandy Stimpson has announced the rollout of tools from the City of Mobile to help citizens organize and coordinate litter cleanups and better track what’s already being collected. A Litter Collection Organizing Guide is intended to help organizers of community cleanups work with the city to get needed collection tools or arrange for city staff to pick up the litter they collect. A Litter Collection Survey allows anyone to submit information about litter they’re picking up. “Whether it’s from a big group or one person picking up litter during their daily walks, the data helps give us a better idea of the work being done to make Mobile better,” Stimpson explained. Once collected, all the information will be shared through a Litter Pilot Project Dashboard.
