Mobile Switches Transit Operators

Beginning on October 1, Via will take over operations of the WAVE Transit System. “Across the globe, Via has used technology to transform traditional transit into flexible, rider-focused networks,” the city said. “By analyzing data and demand, Via helps cities reduce costs, improve reliability and create a smoother experience for passengers using buses, paratransit and on-demand transit options.” There will be no immediate changes for current WAVE riders. Over the next year, Via will analyze ridership and gather community feedback.
