Mobile Tourism Program Launched

Visit Mobile has unveiled a program to involve the community in boosting tourism, Call News reported. Visit Mobile Executive Director David Clark said the collaborative effort between Destinations International’s DestinationNEXT and Next Factor, a consulting firm specializing in travel and tourism, involves locals, the mayor, the city council, nonprofits, Leadership Mobile and the Mobile Area Black Chamber of Commerce, among other groups. Surveys will be sent to targeted groups and individuals in January and February, with results returned by June. The program, a first for Mobile, is to be rolled out over three to five years.
