New Police Chief For Bay Minette

The City of Bay Minette recently swore in its new police chief, James Rosier, Jr., after a thorough search. Rosier has nearly 30 years of law enforcement experience that includes service with the Mobile Police Department and the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office. City officials expressed confidence in his leadership and praised his passion, dedication and community-first mindset. “His approach signals a continued focus on building trust, strengthening relationships and ensuring that public safety efforts reflect the needs and expectations of Bay Minette’s residents,” the city said. It also extended appreciation to Jimmy Dean Stracener, who served as interim police chief since November 2025 and is assistant police chief.
