Orange Beach Comprehensive Plan Workshop Coming Up

The public is invited to a charrette workshop as part of the Orange Beach Comprehensive Plan Project on January 26 at 5-7:30 p.m. at the Orange Beach Event Center, the City of Orange Beach announced. The hands-on meeting’s goal is to receive public input to help finalize the comprehensive plan for the city. The workshop will help the Walker Collaborative consultant team finish formulating a concept plan that will be presented to the public on January 29 at 5 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall. Overall, the plan will address important issues for Orange Beach, including the natural environment, land uses, development, transportation, housing, economics and infrastructure. An online public opinion survey last fall received 843 responses. Those results will be shared at the two public meetings, along with key findings, highlights of the current state of the city, projections and ideas for the vision of Orange Beach’s future. A final plan is to be ready by the end of February.
