Saraland Names New Leaders

The City of Saraland has announced the appointments of Bryson McDaniel as chief of police, Chad Conner as fire chief of Saraland Fire Rescue, Brittany Fernandez as city clerk and Jeremy Stewart as building inspector. McDaniel brings more than a decade of law enforcement experience to the Saraland Police Department. He has served as a member of both the K9 and SWAT units. He has received multiple departmental awards and commendations for his professionalism and service to Saraland. Conner has more than 20 years of experience with Saraland Fire Rescue and has served in multiple leadership roles, including firefighter, driver, captain and battalion chief. Fernandez brings experience in financial administration, payroll management and organizational operations. Prior to joining the city, she served as a payroll specialist and bookkeeper for Saraland City Schools, where she managed payroll operations and financial processes. Stewart brings more than 13 years of experience in code enforcement. He holds professional certifications as a residential, commercial and fire inspector.
