SARPC To Host DesignAlabama

The South Alabama Regional Planning Commission (SARPC) will host DesignAlabama for a lunch and learn at its offices in the GM&O Building at 110 Beauregard Street in Mobile on July 29 at 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. This event will provide mayors, clerks, municipal leaders and planning staff an opportunity to learn more about the services and resources DesignAlabama offers to local communities, including assistance with community visioning, planning and design, downtown and neighborhood revitalization, public spaces, community identity and place-based economic development. DesignAlabama works with local communities across the state to promote thoughtful design, planning and community development strategies that enhance quality of life, strengthen local identity and support economic growth. Through programs such as the Mayors Design Summit, DesignPlace, DesignDash and DesignVision, DesignAlabama connects mayors, civic leaders, citizens and design professionals to address community challenges, identify opportunities and develop practical ideas for implementation.
