Semmes Joins RSA

The Semmes city council unanimously voted to join Retirement Systems of Alabama (RSA), Call News reports. Mayor Brandon Van Hook said one of the main reasons is to make employment at the city more appealing. He added, “It is no secret that we will be starting our own city police department…. A quality benefit package will attract quality applicants and help us retain the good employees that we currently have.”
