State Tourism Department Honors Locals

MOBILE, Ala. — Several Mobile-area tourism professionals were recently honored by the Alabama Tourism Department for outstanding leadership and dedication to the industry, the city announced. Andrew Felts, communications and public relations manager for Visit Mobile, received the Rising Star Award. Rhonda Davis, director of sales and marketing for the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park, received the Tourism Employee of the Year Award. Eva Golson, former director of the city’s film office who recently retired from the city after more than 50 years of service to the city and state, received the Lifetime Achievement Award.
