Summerdale Buys Land For New Fire Station

A new fire station will be coming to Summerdale, GulfCoastNewsToday.com recently reported. Benefits of the station will be to provide the volunteer department a larger space for training and storage, and a central location within its jurisdiction. At the southwest corner of Highways 32 and 73, the five-plus acres is soon to be advertised as “the future home of the Summerdale Fire Department” via signage. The central location is to allow quicker response times to accidents at two hotspots for the department, on Highway 59 and the Baldwin Beach Express.
