Tourism Grant To Benefit South Alabama

A grant by the Alabama Department of Tourism to the Alabama Black Belt Adventures Association to coordinate hospitality training sessions designed to encourage sustainable tourism, economic growth, and business and community development in locations including South Alabama counties was recently awarded, Barometer reported. Funding was recently approved for the program by Gov. Kay Ivey and the Alabama Department of Tourism. It allows the association to partner with the University of Alabama Center for Economic Development, Holistic Performance Group and Experience Consulting to conduct training sessions toward a Flawless Delivery Hospitality Certification, which aims to provide hospitality workers with experiential training and skills tailored to occupation and geographic location in an effort to upgrade visitors’ experiences. Sessions are planned to be held across the state.
