Upgrades Get Underway At Memories Fish Camp

Construction and renovation at Memories Fish Camp at 4901 Fowl River Road in Theodore began this week. The Mobile County Commission recently awarded a Gulf of Mexico Energy and Security Act-funded $635,000 construction contract to J. Hunt Enterprises for demolition of existing structures; electrical, parking and bulkhead improvements; a new boat ramp; a new dock; and a new kayak launch. The camp was purchased by the commission in 2019. Moffat Nichol completed the engineering and design for this construction and renovation project. Memories will be closed to the public during the work, which is scheduled to take approximately four months.
