2025 Many More Miles Campaign Concludes, Winners Announceed

Hundreds of people in Baldwin and Mobile counties recently donated gently used shoes to Baldwin Bone & Joint’s 21st Annual Many More Miles Campaign, resulting in 4,500-plus pairs of shoes finding new life. Baldwin Bone & Joint, City Hope Church and Baldwin County schools partnered to collect shoes for families in need and area homeless populations. The top three individual schools listed brought in the greatest number of shoes and each received a check from Baldwin Bone & Joint: first place, Fairhope East Elementary (494 pairs, $500 award); second place, Bayside Academy (400 pairs, $300 award); and third place, Fairhope West Elementary (210 pairs, $200 award). The “Overall Class/Teacher” winner was Beth Stocks, Fairhope East Elementary (87 pairs), who received a cash prize and Chick-Fil-A class party provided by City Hope Church. Recognition and further appreciation went to Rockwell Elementary, J. Larry Newton, Spanish Fort Elementary, Spanish Fort Middle, St. Michael Catholic High and Bayshore Christian schools for their additional contribution. City Hope Church Outreach Coordinator Melanie Daw and her team will distribute the shoes to those in need through partnering organizations.
