American Family Care Names CEO

American Family Care (AFC), which has five locations in Mobile and is the nation’s leading provider of urgent care, primary care and occupational medicine services, recently announced the appointment of Randy Johansen as its new CEO. Johansen, who previously served as AFC’s president, now takes on the role to guide the organization into its next chapter. Johansen joined AFC in June 1992 as chief operating officer and later assumed the position of president in 2005. With more than 40 years of experience in the healthcare field, primarily in finance, business administration and operations, Johansen has played a pivotal role in the growth and success of AFC throughout his tenure. As president and CEO, Johansen will continue to lead AFC’s growth and expansion efforts across the nation. Under his guidance, AFC has grown to have operations in 28 states with more than 300 locations. The organization is poised for further growth, with more than 100 clinics in the pipeline to open in the near future. This transition follows the passing of AFC’s founder and CEO Dr. D. Bruce Irwin.
