Baldwin Bone & Joint Announces 18th “Many More Miles” Campaign

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. — For the 18th year, Baldwin Bone & Joint PC will host the “Many More Miles” campaign. Those interested in participating are encouraged to clean up gently used athletic shoes and tie them together in pairs before dropping them off by March 19 at Baldwin Bone and Joint, which has offices in Daphne, Bay Minette and Foley; the office of Dr. Glenn Glass in Daphne; McCoy Outdoor; the University of South Alabama Student Recreation Center; with the physical education coaches at participating schools in Baldwin County; and the 2022 Spring Fever Chase in Fairhope. Baldwin Bone & Joint will partner with City Hope Church to distribute shoes to Baldwin County families in need and area homeless populations. A distribution event is planned for March 26 at City Hope Church-Malbis at 9 a.m.-noon. Additionally, the City Hope Church Homeless Outreach team will provide shoes for area homeless populations. Since its inception, response to the campaign has grown, from 200 pairs donated in 2004 to a record-breaking 2,728 pairs contributed most recently. Baldwin Bone & Joint will award cash prizes to the top three Baldwin County public schools that donate the most shoes.
