Baldwin Bone & Joint Hires CRNP, To Host Pickleball Tournament

Baldwin Bone & Joint has added certified registered nurse practitioner (CRNP) Meagan Brown to its team of orthopedic specialists. Brown is a dual-trained family/emergency nurse practitioner. She holds both a BS in nursing and an MS in nursing from the University of South Alabama. Brown is board-certified through both the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and American Nurses Credentialing Center. She comes to the group with years of nursing experience in the local hospitals. Brown has experience in fields including emergency medicine, internal medicine, burn surgery, orthopedics and pediatrics. She will work in conjunction with the team of fellowship-trained orthopedic specialist Dr. Drew Corbett. Additionally, Baldwin Bone & Joint will host its first charity pickleball tournament on May 13 and 14 at 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. each day at Lott Park at 2000 Main Street in Daphne. In response to growing popularity of the sport, pickleball courts at Lott Park were recently resurfaced and expanded to 12 courts. The Baldwin Bone & Joint Pickleball Classic will “support an amazing local charity with this fundraiser,” Rapahope, said Will Wiggins, Baldwin Bone & Joint executive administrator. Magnolia Classic, LLC will handle tournament operations for this non-sanctioned event. The entry fee for the tournament is $50, plus a $5-per-event service fee.
