Baldwin Bone & Joint Hosting Osteoporosis Lunch And Learn

The public is invited to learn more about osteoporosis by attending a complimentary lunch and learn in Spanish Fort featuring Holly Scott, a certified registered nurse practitioner and Baldwin Bone & Joint’s Osteo Health Clinic coordinator. She will speak on “Understanding Osteoporosis and the Importance of Optimizing Bone Health as You Age.” The event will be held on January 11, 2024, at 11 a.m.-noon at the Spanish Fort Senior Center. RSVP is requested by January 9, 2024, at the Spanish Fort Senior Center Bulletin Board. Scott has practiced as a certified family nurse practitioner since 2016, with a primary clinical experience focused on osteo health. She holds a BS in kinesiology from Georgia Southern University, an accelerated MS in nursing pathway and an MS in family nurse practitioner from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is also fully trained in Basic Life Support (CR/APED) from the American Heart Association and certified in fracture liaison service from the National Osteoporosis Foundation. Scott says her primary goal is to partner with patients at high risk for osteoporosis and fractures and falls. They will then act on plans to further a strong, active lifestyle.
