Baldwin Bone & Joint To Host Chronic Pain Seminar
Baldwin Bone & Joint will host a free, in-person educational seminar September 22 featuring Dr. Elliott Pennington, fellowship-trained pain management specialist, on treatment options for people living with chronic pain. The seminar, entitled “Get Back to Living! Discover Options for Managing Your Chronic Pain,” will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Baldwin Bone & Joint at 1505 Daphne Avenue in Daphne. Pennington will discuss minimally invasive interventional pain management treatments, including nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulation and the Intracept procedure. The seminar will also include remarks from a special guest who is successfully managing chronic pain. A Gulf Coast native, Pennington earned biomedical sciences and medical degrees from the University of South Alabama, then completed an anesthesia residency and interventional pain medicine fellowship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Society of Anesthesiologists and American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. The program is intended for people who have experienced pain for more than six months; have pain that affects sleep, walking, standing, hobbies or routine activities; or continue to have pain after spine surgery. Registration is required.
