Baldwin Health, CACC Host Seventh Collaborate Training Event

Baldwin Health and the Coastal Alabama Community College (CACC) Simulation Program recently marked their seventh collaborative training engagement since 2023. The curriculum targeted some of the most critical scenarios a hospital faces: pediatric cardiac arrest in the emergency department, as well as complex obstetrical emergencies and neonatal resuscitation within the labor and delivery unit. Simulation education has been proven to significantly improve patient outcomes, enhance clinical judgment and drastically decrease medical errors by providing a safe environment to navigate high-pressure variables. All nursing and allied health students at CACC benefit from this advanced curriculum. Furthermore, the program serves as a regional hub for first responders, providing essential training from trauma response to “Stop the Bleed” certification. The training was powered by full-time simulation educators alongside simulation operations specialists and a specialized group of obstetrical and neonatal experts.
