Collins Named To Top List For Black Healthcare Leaders

Scrubs recently named Chad Collins, director of operations at USA Health, to its 10 Black Healthcare Leaders Making a Difference in 2023 list, citing his work to improve the healthcare system as a champion of equity, inclusion, diversity and access. The list was compiled to honor Black History Month by “shining a spotlight on the groundbreaking contributions of 10 healthcare professionals,” according to the online resource for medical professionals. Collins joined colleagues from Florida, Illinois, Missouri, Nevada, New York, Tennessee, Texas and Washington who were credited with being an example to diversify not only the field of medicine, but also its leadership. Together, Collins said, it is their responsibility to improve the relationship between the Black community and the U.S. healthcare system. In addition to the Scrubs list, Collins has been named to the 2022 Becker’s Hospital Review’s 75 Black Healthcare Leaders to Know and 2022 Mobile Bay Magazine’s 40 Under 40.
