Empowered Speech Pathology Opens In Foley

Baldwin County residents living with neurologically based communication and swallowing disorders now have access to a specialized outpatient resource with the opening of Empowered Speech Pathology, a new adult-only speech-language therapy practice in Foley. Founded and led by licensed speech-language pathologist Kelly Cantrell, Empowered Speech Pathology offers targeted support for Parkinson’s disease; stroke and traumatic brain injury; ALS and other neurodegenerative disorders; aphasia, dysarthria and cognitive-communication impairments; and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies. It integrates proven techniques—including AAC and cognitive-linguistic therapy—with a strong emphasis on continuity of care. The practice works closely with neurologists and other medical professionals to ensure timely progress updates and tailored treatment plans that align with each patient’s clinical needs.
