Franklin Homeless Program Chosen To Receive Funds By Class

Franklin Primary Health Center, Inc.’s Healthcare for the Homeless (HCH) has announced receipt of a donation of $5,804.68 from the University of South Alabama’s Department of Physician Assistant Studies Class of 2022. Each year, the incoming class selects a philanthropic or noteworthy cause for which it raises funds. This year, the Mobile-based HCH program was selected from among two other local and international philanthropic organizations. Per Charles White, CEO of Franklin, the funds will be used exclusively to provide onsite medical, dental and behavioral health services for patients who are homeless. The class hosted multiple events, including receiving proceeds from both Taco Mama and South Nutrition Restaurant. It also conducted a digital charity drive and virtual 5K to raise funds.
