Gulf Orthopaedics Adds Hodge

Dr. Gary “Sonny” Hodge, II joins Gulf Orthopaedics, an affiliate of Infirmary Health, following the completion of a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at the Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham. Hodge will focus on providing healthcare for athletes and physically active individuals. This includes nonoperative care such as injury diagnosis, rehabilitation, manual treatment techniques and orthobiologics. Hodge is a graduate of Mississippi College with a BS in biology and medical science. He earned his DM from the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Medicine. He completed his residency in family medicine at Ascension St. Vincent’s East in Birmingham. Additionally, he has served as team physician for Samford University men’s and women’s basketball, Birmingham-Southern College men’s and women’s basketball, the University of West Alabama and the University of Alabama.
