Hennigan Joins Coastal Medical Group

Dr. Michael Hennigan, board-certified internal medicine physician and fellow of the American College of Endocrinology, joins Coastal Medical Group (CMG). Hennigan has more than 30 years of clinical experience in the care of patients with diabetes, lipid disorders and other endocrine diseases such as thyroid disease and metabolic disorders. Hennigan earned his BS from the University of Alabama and his DM from the University of South Alabama. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center. He has served on the boards for the Alabama and Florida Quality Assurance Foundation, helping oversee Medicare quality improvement. Additionally, he served as a medical director for Novo Nordisk, a provider of diabetes medication. Hennigan will see patients at CMG’s location behind Thomas Hospital in Fairhope.
