Infirmary Health Adds Innovative Breast Screening

Infirmary Health recently announced that the Breast Centers at Mobile Infirmary in Mobile and Thomas Hospital in Daphne now offer the Invenia Automated Breast Ultrasound System (ABUS) 2.0, approved by the Federal Drug Administration for breast cancer screening as an adjunct to mammography for women with dense breast tissue. ABUS provides a survey of the breast tissue through 3D ultrasound. When used along with mammography, it can improve breast cancer detection by 37.5% over mammography alone.
