Mobile Infirmary COO Elected To Regional Leadership Role

Ben Hansert, Mobile Infirmary chief operating officer (COO) and vice president of laboratory services at Infirmary Health, was recently elected president of the Southwest Regional Council of the Alabama Hospital Association. Hansert has served as the COO of Mobile Infirmary since October 2021. Previously, he was the president of North Baldwin Infirmary and executive director of Infirmary Medical Clinics. He holds a BS in cardiopulmonary sciences from the University of South Alabama and first worked as a registered respiratory therapist at Mobile Infirmary in the early 1990s before advancing into healthcare management. In addition to his service to the Alabama Hospital Association, Hansert currently serves on the board of directors for LifeSouth Community Blood Centers. He also previously served on the board of directors for the North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce and Alabama Health Education Consortium.
