North Baldwin Infirmary Earns Top Safety Grade

North Baldwin Infirmary has earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit watchdog focused on patient safety. The infirmary has consistently earned the Leapfrog “A” grade since fall 2022, making it one of only 307 hospitals nationwide to achieve this level of continuous excellence. North Baldwin Infirmary says it is the only hospital in Alabama to maintain this top rating year over year since 2022. Leapfrog assigns grades to general hospitals across the country based on more than 30 measures of errors, accidents, injuries and infections, as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent them. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital ratings program focused exclusively on preventable medical errors, infections and injuries.
